Sundance Film Festival 2017Every year in January, our small, cozy town goes through a complete metamorphosis when celebrities and movie lovers alike flock the streets of Park City Utah from across the globe to enjoy a slew of independent movies at the Sundance Film Festival being held from January 19th to January 29th, and of course see and be seen.  It goes without saying that the Sundance Film Festival has become a major contributor of economic activity for the state of Utah. According to the Sundance Institute, the Sundance 2016 Film Festival brought $143.3 Million in Economic Activity and $72.5 in Gross State Product to Utah. The 2016 festival also generated $7.9 million in state and local tax revenue; supported 1,440 jobs; and was attended by more than 46,660 people from 42 states and 16 different countries.
