It goes without saying that the Sundance Film Festival has become a major contributor of economic activity for the state of Utah. According to the Sundance Institute, the Sundance 2016 Film Festival brought $143.3 Million in Economic Activity and $72.5 in Gross State Product to Utah. The 2016 festival also generated $7.9 million in state and local tax revenue; supported 1,440 jobs; and was attended by more than 46,660 people from 42 states and 16 different countries.
