Park City Bike Share

It's not every day that you get to boast about living in the coolest city on earth! As if Park City isn't an incredible place to live in to begin with; now we can add e-bike sharing to one of many other firsts!  On Wednesday July 19th, 2017, Park City celebrated the launch of the nation's first fully electric bike share program.  “We want to thank all the people who worked on this and acknowledge the voters who have consistently demonstrated their desire for more environmentally friendly options," said Carolyn Rodriquez Summit County's Transportation Planning Director who spearheaded the effort.

So what is an e-bike you ask? Unlike a traditional bike, e-bikes makes biking easier on Park City's hilly terrain, by providing an electric pedal assist (peddle).  Park City's e-bike program is designed for both visitors and local residents and serve as a perfect alternative to running errands, recreation and the already existing public bus system.  Had a late night on Main Street? Not to worry given that e-bikes are available 24/7 starting July 20th.  E-bikes will be available to the public until December when they are stored during the winter months until March.

There are currently 88 bikes located at the following 9 stations with the goal to add more next summer.

- Four in Kimball Junction

- One at the Canyons Transit Center

- Four in Old Town

A single trip cost on a Park City e-bike costs only $2 and a weekly pass will cost you $18. For Park City resident's planning to use the e-bikes more regularly a $90 annual pass or $30 monthly pass may be a better options. A Go Pass for occasional riders will cost you a $5 one time fee and $2 each time thereafter.
