IRS Extends 1031 Exchange Deadlines Amid Covid-19 Crisis

According to the National Association of Realtors (NAR),the IRS issued guidance Thursday evening to grant deadline relief for both 1031 like-kind exchanges and opportunity zone investments that are already underway. Both of these programs are designed to promote economic growth in communities, and NAR made the case that investors in these programs should not be harmed due to the effects of COVID-19.

1031 LIKE KIND EXCHANGES

 If an investor has taken the first step of a like-kind exchange by selling the old property, and either the 45-day or the 180-day deadline falls between April 1 and July 15, the deadline has been extended to July 15.

Park City Restaurants Open For Curbside Pickup

The Park City community is known for it's tenacity and strength.  As we learn to live with this new post COVID-19 norm, it is even more important that we stick together and support our local businesses, whether through purchasing gift cards for later use or by ordering curbside given Summit County Health Department's new curbside only services.
